Zombie Costume Tips

How can I dress up like a zombie?

I’m going to do a costume class with my horse and I want to do a zombie theme. I need some tips! What should I wear, how can I make myself look more like a zombie. I was thinking of tucking my arm into my shirt and making it look like it was eaten off. And of course lots of fake blood. I need input!

(And I’m not going to go out and buy a costume. I don’t wanna spend lots)
Awesome! I didn’t even think of something like a sun dress. That could be really creepy :)

1.) clothing: It’s important to remember that you are a dead person, so you don’t necessarily have to wear dull plain clothing. I’ve seen a pretty creepy zombie costume made from a bright sun dress, it was just ripped up and covered in dirt and blood. So pretty much go however you want here, just rip it up and make it rugged and old looking.

2.) Hair: you are a zombie; you’ve been dead and lying in the ground for a while, your hair’s gotta be pretty ugly. I suggest back combing it up so its tangled and frizzy. Feel free to add fake dirt, and again, blood (fake of course)

3.) Teeth and Face/hands: I suggest for teeth going out to like a convenience store or something and buying some of those nasty fake teeth for like a quarter. They also sell them pretty cheap at costume stores. Skin should be filthy. you could try dried fake blood around your mouth, and spattered on your hands. Just go wild.
