Adult Costumes with Imagination

Cheerleaders and French maids are old hat when it comes to adult costumes. Cat Woman and Elvira have been done to death. Strike a note of imagination. Whether your costume is for a large party or a private one, your adult costume should reflect a bit of playfulness, creativity and finish with a Wow!-factor.

Marion the Librarian/Clark Kent

For the Librarian: This adult costume is a layered look that starts rather sedately and builds to a crescendo. A simple straight-line skirt, an elegant but not too revealing blouse and a cardigan sweater draped over the shoulders will create the dowdy librarian look. Hair should be up in a bun that can be easily loosened. Wear glasses, thick-rimmed or horn-rimmed if possible. You’re going for that prim and proper look with a hint of ‘I wonder what lies beneath’. Consider carrying a few books, perhaps with an adult theme if that is your intent! Sultry make up and black fishnet stockings will let your inner vixen peek out just a bit. Depending upon the occasion, you will gradually transform by shedding the sweater, shaking out the hair and removing the glasses. If this is for a private party, make sure the under garments are as seductive or bawdy as you intend the evening to be. A surprise garter belt is a nice touch.

For Clark: This adult costume will follow the same basic plan as the librarian. A conservative, plain suit, nerdy glasses and a slicked back hair style sets the stage for the geeky, straight-laced man. Lose the tie and jacket as the evening wears on. Undo the collar a bit to reveal a leather collar underneath. It doesn’t have to go overboard but will definitely send the message that there’s more to this geek than meets the eye. Add leather wrist bands that Velcro on under the shirt sleeves. At some point, roll up the sleeves to expose them. If and when the time is right, you can reveal a G-string, or leather thong to complete the transformation.

Have fun with your adult costumes. Whether you plan this together, as a surprise for your partner or just for a little fun at a costume party, this approach to adult costumes allows you to take it as far as you want.
