Black women, what would your dad do if you brought home a white redneck who was wearing a rebel bandana?
If you brought home a white hillbilly redneck who chewed tobacco and wore a rebel bandana at all times, how would your dad (or parents) react? Now let’s not assume that the kid would be racist, but his costume would be indicative of it, though. But yeah, even as a joke perhaps, how would your dad (or parents) react when they saw you walk through the door with a skinny, ugly white boy who was wearing biker leather pants with a rebel flag tattoo on his arm and a rebel flag bandana around his white head?
Years back when I met my black future father in law, I met him after a double shift of work. I was filthy, only had a wife-beater on, was covered in crossbones-skulls-crosses type of tats, had a shaved head, my eyes were all red from being tired, and I just wanted to go home and sleep so I was not the most pleasant guy. We shook hands, talked a few minutes then that was it. Afterwards all he told her was “He seems like a nice guy, if you accept him into your life I will too”. Years went on, we became closer, and I now consider this man my father as he treats me as his son. Guess I was lucky for her to have a good man as a father and he had an open mind.
