What is the best thing to clean costume jewelry?
I have some costume jewelry that is really old and it belonged to my grandmother. I need to know how I can clean it safely. A lot of it has sets in it.
Agree with the others, never immerse it in water or any other liquid. Carefully wipe with a damp cloth. If you want to really shine rhinestones or crystal, you can wipe them with one of those cotton wool sticks, damp with a bit of window cleaner, but only damp, never so wet that it can drip into the settings. Take your time doing this, costume jewelry can be quite fragile as it was never meant to last very long.
