Halloween Costume Patterns
How do I enlarge a children’s sewing pattern to fit an adult?
I have some children’s halloween costume patterns that I would like to make to fit adults. If I, for example, double or triple the pattern size, will that work, or will all the proportions be wrong? I’m a pretty inexperienced sewer, so please dumb the answers down a little!!
What are you trying to make? It’s easier to “doctor up” an adult pattern to be a costume than to try to grade up a children’s pattern for an adult… far, far easier. Body proportions are so different from kids to adults that it’s not something I’d like to see an inexperienced person try.
