What is the title of this Katherine Hepburn movie?
It may have been made for TV. A story of an elderly woman that runs into a former lover from her youth. She had promised to wait for him, but didn’t. They were poor and she married a wealthy man. He never married and pined for her all of his life. The time period was late 1800′s early 1900′s judging by the costumes.

This one’s most likely “Love Among the Ruins”, a 1975 made-for-television film with Hepburn, co-starring Sir Laurence Olivier as her former love.
It’s a good film, directed by George Cukor, one of Hepburn’s favorite directors from her Hollywood days.
Doublecheck this title at the Internet Movie Data base to be sure, but I think this is it.
