Costume King Crown
props for a play that are associated with a king?
i need three props that can be associated with a king. Not costumes like a crown or robe thingy but actual props
Assuming this is a generic, medieval-European or storybook king, here’s what I can come up with:
- sceptre (like a fancy wand, symbol of power)
- orb (same sort of function as a sceptre, it’s like a ball with a little cross on top, symbol of the king being ordained by God? I’m not sure, exactly)
- scrolls or letters
- quill (big feather pen) and/or ink pot
- hand fan
- pillows
- a lap dog (stuffed animal for a prop, of course)
- tray of food, fruit, or candy
- snuff box or tobacco pipe
- reading glasses or monocle
- fancy mirror and/or hairbrush/combs
- ceremonial sword or dagger
- handkerchief
- fancy-looking book
- small bell (to ring for servants)
That’s all I’ve got. If furniture counts, then definitely a throne and footstool, maybe a side table of some sort. Have fun.
