Costume History Courses
What do I need to teach?
I have a BS in Fashion merchandising and a minor in Journalism. What other credentials do I need to teach, say, a course in Costume History? I was thinking part-time at a community college.
Many community colleges will hire you with only a BS or BA; universities usually require a PhD; grammar schools usually require a masters (either in teaching or another specialty) AND a teaching certificate (you need to take an exam to get the teaching certificate).
Check the websites of local community colleges to see if they are hiring, and what their qualifications are.
